A Wonderful Home in Key West

"We were travelling as a party of 5 on a multi stop vacation across a few locations in South Florida and this home was an absolute standout!
Great location, great layout of the property. The balconies are both the most perfect spots to enjoy the sunshine, a drink or read a book.
The whole house is very comfortable, beds, sofas, chairs etc. are all top quality. The kitchen is really well equipped.
Our only regret is that we didn't organise our trip to spend longer here.
And I recommend Mac's Place at the corner of the street. Really friendly with great lobster rolls.

"Our winter get away with friends was fabulous thanks to Key West Vacation Homes! This home was fully appointed with all we needed for relaxing. The kitchen and living room were comfortable for the 6 of us. The beds were very comfortable and each bedroom had its own bathroom, a must for us. The air conditioning wasn’t working well when we arrived but Key West Vacation Homes came quickly to check it out and we were cool in no time. Easy to communicate with the office and everyone was so pleasant and professional. I would highly recommend Key West Vacation Homes and this unit specifically. Thank you Ket West Vacation Homes!

Worth the walk

"While this unit was an 18 minute walk to Duval it was totally worth it, as it allowed us the opportunity to get a great feel for Key West. Our unit overlooked the marina and offered a lot of enjoyable scenery. The inside of the unit was very nice and very comfortable for three couples. Would totally go back!

"Overall, we had a good experience. Inside the house was great. Everything clean, comfortable, and spacious. It is 50 steps from ground level to the top bedroom, definetly easier for younger folks.

Outside pool area and patio - pool is on the small side but was great for us to relax in after walking in the heat all day. Patio area could use some remodeling due to open saltwater air decay in spots.
Another issue with being on the water is rats. We saw several large rats in the evening running along the top of the fence by the pool. A few poison traps may help.

We had two issues that were not to our satisfaction.
1) top freezer door on refrigerator was broken, kept coming off track and could not close. Main ice maker was in there so we had to buy ice. Maintenance came by but it wasn't fixed
2) Wifi is very weak - we could not watch tv in any of the upstairs bedrooms. Maintenance reset the modem, didn't work. was told Comcast was their only option on the island and that was it. Maybe a wifi booster or stronger modem would help. Normally the tv in the bedrooms would not be an issue while on vacation, but while we were there a hurricane was hitting our hometown and we wanted to keep an eye on the situation at home.

I would recommend this place to others, but I don't think I would stay here again, only due to my specific likings while in Key West.

"This house was perfect for our family. We needed 3 bedrooms with on suites and this was perfect. Outside pool area was terrific and kitchen and living areas were large and comfortable. The waterfront location was perfect for the boat charter we had and is only a 10 minute uber ride or 30 minute walk to duval street. We would definitely rent this again.

"The rental was absolutely beautiful as promised. Communication and check in was perfect! They delivered a welcome amenity as well. The elevator was requested on the last day as one of our party was injured. The Sunday response was excellent! However, the elevator stopped working as we tried to move our bags out. The rep was there and he eventually resolved the problem, but the elevator seems quick to stop working even when all doors are closed. Only complaints include very low water pressure and when more than one showering hot water ran out. Aside from that everything was immaculate and wonderful!

"Key West Vacation homes is a professional and personable management team. Our third year in a row using their service. communication is instant and quickly taken care of Javier and Doug do a great job. This is a large home, comfortable and located perfectly for ease to downtown and far enough away not to get the effects of downtown.

Some items need some attention for the quality of the home. The couch, clean and serviceable is due a replacement, as the support is sinking, but again serviceable. Kitchen is stocked, plenty of towels and beach towels. The pool is fabulous, more like a relaxing spa really but makes for a nice evening entertaining area. The tow car garage makes for nice security of bikes or fishing gear.

We will always using Key West Vacation Homes.

"Enjoyed the pool and ground floor fridge & shower area.The 2nd floor king suite had an air-mattress bed with very low air; same room was very warm during our week-long stay-AC wasn't working well-However the main & top floor AC was great. The clothes washer made loud banging noises during washing cycle; however, was still working. The sleeper sofa mattress was very thin. Loved the extra fridge & wine cooler space.

"The team was good, the house was beautiful but the AC unit wasn’t strong enough to cool that home, my bedroom was uncomfortable �� got the plug in fan only blow hot air in room, the other 2nd floor bedroom’s bathroom didn’t have the air either. The glass door to the patio the handle was broken off so just kept that door closed.

"Had a long bachelorette weekend at this property and it was an amazing time with my girls! We had plenty of space to be together when we wanted to and then enough space to be by ourselves if we wanted. The balconies, the view, the pool area, the kitchen and great room, the bedrooms, lots of bathrooms, were all amazing. The only thing we had difficulty with was the elevator. However, we just figured it was operator error! Lovely place and in a great location. The view from the back of the property was beautiful and we could watch the sunrise. From the front, we could watch the sunset. Truly a wonderful place to stay!

"This was our best Key West trip yet. The property was located conveniently at Garrison Bight, making boat in/out/docking very easy. Also, we rented bikes and did not use our car what so ever while we were there.

Management was responsive. Property was in great condition. Coffee on the porch each morning and finished each night off in the back porch spa with some music.

"We rented this house for our family and 2 friends. It was exactly as the website had said. We brought our boat and the dock was such a nice addition. The pool was perfect and the heater was a nice treat because it was December and the day temps weren't as high as summer. "2020 was a crazy pandemic year and we were so happy to be able to get away for a change of scenery. Easy to bike to White Pier for sunrise views (or watch the sunrise from the upper deck at the house!) and easy to ride to Duval Street, Mallory Square or anywhere in between. Loved being able to walk to Thai Island for dinner! The layout of the home worked really well for our family of 4 + our Golden Doodle. The description of the property and the photos were very accurate and the home was very clean upon arrival. The communication from the management company was very clear and we had absolutely no issues with our stay. We have recommended Island Chic to many of our friends who asked where we stayed during our first visit to Key West.

Dreamy waterside hideaway

"Absolutely perfect trip. The home was beautiful and exceeded our expectations, the pool was such delight after all of our Key West adventures and the views were gorgeous. Wonderful kitchen, roomy living room. Bedrooms neat and comfortable, bathrooms were spacious and sophisticated. The home is within walking distance to all of the action on Duval but plenty far away for a good night's sleep. Highly recommend for a family! Several great restaurants very close to the house, including Mellow Cafe and Seven Fish (delicious!). Such beautiful walks from the home into town, including through the historic cemetery. Really enjoyed strolling and taking in all of the quirky homes and unique architecture. About 25 mins to the center of Duval, but that was perfect for us (we have teenagers...maybe a little far if I was pushing a stroller). Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Key West!

"Beautiful home and great location to have a boat. The online photos are very accurate. Pool is nice and it heated up fairly quickly as it's not very big. It worked for us 6 adults to have cocktails and appetizers every night! The elevator was a big help with getting our luggage to each floor.

"This was a super great spot! The views in every room were amazing! We felt safe and it was close enough to Duval street to bike but not so much walk. The garage was great because we were able to leave bikes in garage and not worry about them getting taken! Such a great rental! The rooms are huge and the space was so spacious! LOVED IT!

"This was a lovely home to stay in Key West. Very comfortable. Would stay there again. That being said there is a lot of steps in the home. But, there also is an elevator. A bit far from downtown so we used Uber and they are there befor you come out of the house.

"The house is perfect. Beautifully appointed, comfortable beds, the bedrooms are very large, bathrooms are great, view is lovely. The heated pool is so nice! Javier helped us quickly with a small problem with the elevator. If I had to say anything negative, there could be more lighting over the kitchen table - but really, it wasn’t a problem! I would recommend this house. There were 4 women, two of us shared one room with a king bed and large bathroom and closet. The other two bedrooms each had their own bath and king or queen beds. One room looked like it had a daybed or similar. 20 minute walk to Duvall St. $10 Uber ride home. As I said, perfect. Key West Vacation Homes staff were very easy to work with too, especially my main contact Javier!

"Great place to stay with plenty of room. Beautiful water view from 2 of the bedrooms and living area. Great kitchen that is fully equipped. Elevator for getting all the luggage upstairs. Just a 5 minute drive to Duval street or you could walk it in 20-25 minutes. Very clean and well maintained. Don't miss "Off the Hook" restaurant or "Blue Heaven".

Nice House

"The house was very clean. There was always a nice breeze. The view was nice and there was plenty of room for the entire family. All the bedrooms are wonderfully sized with their own bathroom en suite and very generous closet space for long stays.
However, the elevator was out of order the entire time we were on vacation. The property had broken furniture, the dishwasher was missing the stabilizer bolts which caused it to tilt outward whenever you open the door.
The property manager credited our account with a refund of approximately one day of rent for the inconvenience of the elevator not working.

"This property has been beautifully designed and decorated. Everything potential need you may have is addressed. The design is laid out over 3 floors with the entry below in an enclosed garage. An elevator makes for ease of moving luggage and groceries from entry up to the highest level. It had several hiccups during out stay that property management worked diligently to resolve. If you have a boat slips space is assigned with the unit. The unit is modern and immaculate. Appliances are top end. The site allows perfect access to Old Town area and the Commercial areas of the island with ease. There is some road noise off of Roosevelt but it is a distance away. Your plunge pool area abuts to the water's edge with a walkway separating. . The outside living space on pool level has yet to be renovated to the extraordinary level of the rest of the house, but it comfortable, workable, a laid out well. The balconies are on both sides of the home so you can take advantage of either sun or shade.

The property manager Javier Garrido was outstanding. We had some glitches that are not unexpected in a complex property and he was quick to respond and resolve. He made our stay as easy and seamless as possible. He is a wonderful asset to your stay.

I hope this property remains in the rental inventory as we plan on coming back each and every year!

"This unit worked out great for us to have our adult children so close by, we live one block away. It is a beautiful condo & there is a wonderful view. We saw Dolphins almost every day and one Manatee, that was so exciting for everyone. Another feature for us was that we keep our boat at the GB marina so we could pull right up to the dock to pick the kids up.

All in all it was a great stay.
